Medical Loan Closet
Our best known outreach ministry is the Medical Loan Closet, which is actually a building behind the church off the alley; you can call the volunteers there at 740-366-7438 -- the MLC is staffed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 am to 3 pm.
The MLC offers at no cost durable medical goods for loan; generally for three months at a time, but always renewable as needed. We receive donations as well; we just don't handle anything with a motor or a pump on it.

Mission Team/Ramp Ministry
About once a year a team from Newark goes somewhere in the United States and meets with our mission partners from Moss Point, Mississippi to do relief work, from building churches to mucking out flood damage to rebuilding interiors. In recent years they've gone to Panama Beach, Florida; Hundred, West Virginia; Georgetown, South Carolina; Joplin, Missouri -- and many more locations from Kansas to New Orleans and beyond!
Closer to home, men and women of the church build ramps asking only the cost of the materials for households in need. Call the church office or MLC for more information.
